Francesc Grimalt Oliver possesses an extensive curriculum vitae, from which we present some highlights:
1987 – 1993 Studied to become a Technical Specialist in Oenology and Grape-Growing.
1994 Started up the winery Àn Negra viticultors, SL, together with Miquel Àngel
Cerdà and Pere I. Obrador, in Felanitx
1997 Had the book El vino en Mallorca (Wine in Mallorca) published by Ediciones Documenta Balear.
1997, His wine was declared Wine of the Year in Spain, by El Mundo daily newspaper
In the same year, daily newspaper El País declared it to be its Revelation Wine.
1998, daily newspaper El País ranked it amongst the best wines in Spain.
In the same year, it came 6th in the tasting by Sibaritas magazine
It also won the Gold Medal of the Gold Guide to the Wines of Spain, amongst other distinctions.
1999-2000 Wine-tasting classes at the School of the Hotel Trade (Balearic Islands Autonomous Community-Balearic Islands University), in addition to some talks.
2007 Started up the winery Apol•lònia Viticultors SAT (Felanitx).
