Recommended Ways of Getting to the Conference and Helping to Reduce C02 Emissions:

• A public bus service is available from the airport and port.
• A public bus and/or train can be used anywhere within the island.
• Different public bus lines or zero-emissions vehicles (bicycles) can be used anywhere within the city of Palma. Alternatively you can move around on foot.

Remember:

• One of the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions are trips made in private vehicles.
• A 10-15 km trip in a car fuelled with petrol generates approximately 792 Kg of CO2 a year. In contrast, using a public bus only generates 264 Kg of CO2 a year.
• The distances are short! 45% of all trips within the city entail distances of less than 3 km.
